published in 2007, we offer this classic Argyll slipover V-neck sweater - traditional patterning with a totally contemporary feel.  Knit in sadly discontinued Rowan Scottish Tweed 4 ply, this slipover is bound to become a wardrobe favorite.  Perfect for fall and winter. The sweater features simple shaping, a V neckline, and plain ribbed bands.  The pattern can be made in any of 5 sizes -- to fit from a 40 inch to a 48 inch chest/bust.  The pattern specifies a gauge of 26 stitches and 38 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 3 (3.25 mm) needles.  The design will work up quickly and become an instant classic in your winter wardrobe or make it as the perfect holiday gift for the man in your life.

Rowan Scottish Tweed 4-ply a wonderful traditional 100% wool yarn was discontinued several years ago and finding sufficient quantities in the right shades can prove difficult.
Kit Contents:  A copy of the pattern and 19 25 gram balls of Rowan Scottish Tweed 4-ply in the following shades:  Celtic Mix (022), Rust (009), and Apple (015) - sufficient to knit the largest size.
As with all of our Rare Rowan kits, this pack has been carefully stored in a non-smoking home, and these vintage yarns and fabric will arrive to you in pristine condition.
